ABOUT
For A Midsummer Night’s Dream, we approached Shakespeare’s comedy as a wintery Slavic fairy tale. The familiar story of young lovers escaping into the woods became a darker fable about destroying the things we love by trying too hard to control them.
The production was presented by the Classical Theatre of Harlem Young Company in partnership with Columbia University in 2022.
