ABOUT
When Claude is eight years old, his twin brother Andrew is called onstage by a magician named Papini and disappears. He never comes back. Years later, Claude lives with his friends Val, Mongrel and Ash, each struggling with circumstances they cannot control. Claude responds by writing, obsessively returning to the night his brother vanished and searching for the tiny forks in the road where things might have turned out differently.
Papini, the debut production of Felicity, was a play about grief, mental health, bodily autonomy and the stories we construct around things we cannot change.

Papini was the debut production of Felicity, a company of young Dublin theater-makers working across writing, performance, design and production.
I served as Artistic Director of the ensemble company, whose collaborators included Colm Gleeson, Caitlin Scott, Honi Cooke, Michael Stone, Jennifer Aust and Leonard Buckley.
DEVELOPMENT
An earlier version of the project, M. Papini Disappears, was developed through Trinity College Dublin’s Arts Technology Research Lab.
The play was subsequently rewritten and developed into Papini for Dublin Fringe Festival.
